Infra+green is a program that is designed to slowly incorporate healthy and better choices into school lunch menus. Imagine closing your eyes and hearing the happy and energetic chatter of your lunch room while the smell of freshly made foods such as fresh, fruits, meats and warm bread are being prepared. Compared to the greasy, fried and unhealthy limited choices that are offered in most school menus, Infra+Green is the smarter and healthier choice to make for your students' future
School menus and their food choices are incredibly controversial. The quality of the food has been a debated issue for consumers for years now. Students of various schools often complain about the nature of the food that is prepared. There have been reports (I along with many other students can vouch for these reports) that there have been traces of fungi cultures contained in the food. This is most likely because the food is not fresh, is of bad quality, or is not well maintained. Many students also complain about the small variety of food choices. A new plethora of food choices needs to emerge. Along with the need for better quality food, the price of lunches continues to rise each year. It is as if the government is ordering our school to tax us for our hard work to the point of poverty.
In order to change the school's lunch program we will increase the quality of the lunches currently provided, reduce the amount of unhealthy food being sold in vending machines and add more quality choices on the menu. The price of lunch will decrease to $2.50 and an optional healthy smoothie bar will only cost 50 cents. The salad bar would be extended and refreshed and newly prepared foods will be ready for students in a healthier manner. Take a walk to the cafeteria, what do you see? I see vending machines with unhealthy snack choices such as ice cream, chips, and fruit snacks. Those choices may be appealing to America’s youth, but they contribute to obesity in children. We plan on totally changing the vending machines and adding healthier choices such as bags of carrots, apples, and grapes. The Salad bar will be expanded with a special section for seasonal fresh fruits designed to be more appealing for students and teachers. The vending machines that supply drinks will include less sugary drinks such as V8, bottled water, and apple juice. We would also like to include a smoothie bar made with fresh fruits, milk, and yogurt as a healthy desert alternative. Better cooking oils will be used except for peanut oil due to allergies. We guarantee no canned fruits, excess amount of fried foods, and healthy food choices students will want to purchase.
We are Infra+green! Our company includes many tip top food qualities for your school. We are the best because we keep the food you like, while making it healthier. Our companies’ food choices for your school include many complex foods. Such as bags of tasty mixed nuts, grapes, apples, cheese and many more! AND GET THIS! Those tasty bags of foods are extremely healthy! You can have the foods you love and enjoy while being healthy. We know you’re thinking right now INFRA+GREEN! We are too! The choices that we make in our lunches now will impact the choices that students will make in the future and being a school isn't teaching our students to make the right choices the top priority in every subject? Include lunch.

Healthier food choices will have many benefits on the school and the students. I tried to incorporate whole wheat breads and pastas into my week meal plan. By eating healthier food, students will feel more energized and ready to work during the rest of their day. I incorporated one day (friday) in which the students have the option of purchasing tacos. Having taco day will give students something to look forward to after eating healthy all week. Better quality foods will taste better and students and even teachers will want to buy. We hope that these healthy food choices in school will help shape how they eat at home as well.
In Upper Merion High School many students's diets are unhealthy. The school could easily end this unhealthy eating, which is now causing many teens to become obese. With our lunch plan students would easily lose weight throughout the course of the school year. Our menu offers high quality food that still appeals to all students in some way and is ideal for many of the students. We, Infra+Green, have carefully planned out the amounts of nutrients contained in our foods and can guarantee the success of our program causing people to lose weight.
By including healthy foods in the menu students will be able to choose better foods for them instead of fries or greasy pizza. Fun foods have been included that other schools do not include such as fajitas and prepared chinese chicken. Easily prepared healthy foods and healthy frozen foods will keeps the lunch staff's jobs easy and the students will receive quality nutrition. All days will have vegetables, fruits and milk choices. A salad bar and a healthy smoothy bar will be available on the side for a small price and the price for lunch will decrease.
